THE ESTATE
TODAY
Our wish was - and still is - to produce high quality wines, thatcan compete on demanding homeand foreign wine markets.
We put a lot of effort in vineyards because we tend to use as little enological interventions in the cellar as possible.
We believe that the quality of the wine is born in the vineyards and it only develops in the cellar. In 1988 the main focus was on non bottled wines. In 1993 we bottled the first wines (vintage 1992) labeled Ronk.
Since then, our production focuses on bottled wines.
Our vineyards grow on grounds of Flycsh, with layers of marl, and stone and cly. Approximately 55 million years ago, this area was covered by the sea. Repeating sedimentary cycles with upward fining of the sediments formed the terrain flysch. On the surface it quickly falls apart,
in the Brda region it evolved into the soil called “opoka” (i.e. marl).
Mature in stainless steel tanks which ensures the recognizable varietal taste and pleasant freshness. White wines are meant to be fresh, fruity, vibrant and enjoyable. The reds, on the other hand, are left to mature for a couple of years more, so that they can develop a richer intensity but still maintain their fruitiness and freshness. Everybody can find the favorite one among Ronk wines since they are suitable for every mood and taste.
Our premium line of wines. They reflect their terrior and our passionate devotion for the art of winemaking. The grapes are hand picked and carefully selected from our best vineyard sites. Only the best vintages are labeled as Selectus.
